Dental Services

You can look good and have a healthy smile, too! Most people who are unhappy with the appearance of their teeth do not realize the numerous ways cosmetic dentistry can heal a smile. Cosmetic dentistry can correct crooked teeth, spaces between your teeth, stained or discolored teeth, chipped teeth, broken or missing teeth, and “gummy” smiles. Dr. White  will create a customized treatment plan especially for you based on your cosmetic and esthetic needs.

TOOTH WHITENING (AT-HOME)

Imagine removing surface stains from your teeth and having the youthful smile you had when you were a teenager! Anyone can enjoy the confidence that comes from having a bright, white smile.

Your custom home whitening kit involves a special tray that is customized to fit over your teeth. You also receive prescription whitening gel, which is inserted into the tray before you wear it. Dr. White will give you detailed instructions about how long you should wear the tray each day, and you should expect the entire home-whitening process to take between two and four weeks, leaving you with a dazzling smile.

PORCELAIN BRIDGES

When teeth are missing, your smile undergoes significant changes. Missing teeth cause you to chew differently and may cause mouth pain. Additionally, as your remaining teeth work to compensate for the loss, gaps and spaces form that only make the situation worse. A porcelain bridge, custom designed by Dr. White or, keeps your smile aligned and your bite functional. Bridges are anchored to existing teeth or crowns on either side of the missing tooth. They are semi-permanent, meaning they can only be affixed or removed by a dentist, and are a long-term restorative solution to your damaged smile.

PORCELAIN CROWNS

You can erase years of wear and tear with porcelain crowns. Porcelain crowns are customized for you to cover broken, cracked, or discolored teeth. Crowns are a durable, strong, long-lasting method of enhancing both the look and functionality of your smile. After some preparation of the tooth or teeth that will receive the crown(s), Dr. White will position a custom-milled, natural-looking porcelain crown over your damaged tooth, restoring and rejuvenating your oral health.

TOOTH-COLORED FILLINGS

Are you embarrassed about your smile because of decayed, disfigured, or discolored teeth? You may be a good candidate for composite resins, also known as tooth-colored fillings. This non-invasive treatment is a mixture of microscopic ceramic and glass particles dispersed in a plastic resin that can be bonded to teeth. The material comes in a wide range of shades and can be molded and sculpted to create almost any shape or contour. The fact that the resin is bonded means that a seal is formed, reducing the chance of leakage, which is common with silver fillings. For years, silver-mercury was the primary material used by dentists to fill cavities. Today, tooth-colored restorations are superior, both in appearance and in durability.

BONDING

Bonding refers to the placement of tooth-colored resin to correct chipped and broken teeth, discolored teeth, and in some cases, spaces between teeth. The material is applied and adhered to the surface of the tooth without reducing the structure of the tooth in most cases. Drs. White will then sculpt the material to create a natural-looking tooth. Bonding is generally considered more conservative than veneers or other forms of cosmetic dentistry.

The benefits of bonding include the ability to maintain the natural structure of the tooth and the ability to color and sculpt the resin to create natural-looking teeth.
